As 2013, winds down so begins the preparations to begin a whole New Year in 2014. One hopes in better prosperity. As you take stock of what 2013 has given you and you begin to plan your new resolutions for the coming year. Don't just say them, write them out, and ACT on them. You need to take the steps necessary to DO. If you need help don't be afraid to ask. It's no fun to do it alone. Friends, family, and colleagues are here for you. However, ultimately it's up to you to make things happen. Here are some quick tips from our very own Kristie DeGraw, SRVP on how to finish the current year strong and set yourself up for momentum in 2014.
1. Prospecting & Planting Seeds - keep talking to as many people about the opportunity and our services. Even if now isn't the right time, the seeds of knowledge are planted for future referral back to you.
2. Training & Educate - We never should stop learning. Listen and train to the old recorded training calls so you can be well-trained and oiled for when you start talking to people 2014. People want to know especially with the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare), they need to know their options. AmeriPlan is an affordable option.
3. Staying Inspired Bootcamp - This is more for personal development. Many times when we start something new we are excited! We go through the training and motions but as days turns into weeks and weeks turn into months sometimes the novelty of doing something new wears off and we tend to set things to the back burner. Keep excited for your new business venture. Know that we have our hands on something great and better than any Christmas or Birthday present we ever can get or give. Keep a few choice things on hand. Check out the recommended FAHT reading book list, get plugged into some of the other industry trainers such as Dani Johnson, Jeff Combs, and Joe Syverson to name a few. They have great insight to helping us grow in our business and best of all most of the content is free to low cost. If you don't have money for a book you'd really like to read go the library. You can even download audio to your mp3 or ipod and listen to it while you go to the gym, the park, and in your car.
4. GOALS * Write them out * Write out the plan of action on how you will achieve them. - Most importantly send them to your enroller so we can help you achieve those goals. You could even make a vision board. These are just images that represent what you want and like in your business. You could create this using regular poster board and old magazines. Or you can use the Paint feature on your PC to copy and paste images from Google Images and then save it to your desktop and feature as your home screen so that when you open up your computer instead of staring at the boring Windows 7/8/XP picture you can put your vision board to remind you of what you are shooting for.
5. Maintain a schedule - Like any home business or business there is a set amount of hours that must be devoted to growing that business. Treat this business like you would a job and most importantly show up for that job. Even if it's just 30 minutes. Touch your business from every aspect and that time grows. Don't treat this business like a hobby. If you want hobby income you will get hobby income. We all want sustainable income. Income that can and will carry us into our retirement. Take stock of the time in our days and figure out where we are wasting time. Then reinvest that time into your productive hours. Time management is one of many things that we all struggle with on a daily basis no matter if you're working or have a day off. However, with consistent effort and little changes that can add up to big changes we can manage our time appropriately.
