Start Simple, Finish Big

Here is a recorded version of the “Start Simple..Finish Big” call. 

NOTE:  Before you get started, please make sure you have your Focal Point messaging service, FAHT website,  and business email setup.  Go to www.freedomathomelogin.com to set up your account (make sure to use your enroller’s email address as a reference).  Once you refer 3 people using Focal Point, this system will be completely FREE!!! (only applies to package choice you have).  If you are having trouble setting it up, go to the training site (www.freedomathometraining.com) Go to step 3, the click on “website setup guide” and print out the steps.  Contact your enroller to help. (i.e. if you have pro, must refer 3 pro or/premier. If you have premier, must refer 3 premier.)

PICK A SCRIPT AND PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!  Now, make a goal to get on the “Scripts and Components” Call with Michelle Stefferson on Tuesday at 8pm EST.

When I first started AmeriPlan, I went to the Marketing/Reference Library on the training site and started going down the list of lead generation ideas and trying everything so I could find my niche.  A lot of new IBOs start with the following:


1.  Business cards, postcards and flyers around town - Free 250 business cards at www.vistaprint.com.  You can find samples of Vista Print Cards and materials Here.  

2.  Car Magnets or lettering - www.totalestickers.com or VistaPrint.com 

3.  Inexpensive Leads - 3-10 cent leads from www.selfserveleads.com (for full details of how to work these, let me know and I will send you more info) 

4.  Referrals/Warm Market - anyone you know who may want to work from home or needs benefits.  If they don't need them, ask who they know who needs them.

5.  Free Classifieds – www.oodle.com,  www.backpage.com, www.classifiedads.com, Facebook Marketplace. 

You will receive the best results from ads posted on CraigsList because the site has a massive amount of traffic.  There is a very specific way to use Craigslist. And if you don't do it exactly, it will not work.  Here are some tips:

- Don't post more than two ads per week - I like to post on Sunday night and Tuesday morning. 

- Do not use your replicated site (www.freedomathometeam.com/yourusername) - If you do, you will get flagged, ghosted or deleted. If you want a website on the ad, you need to get a domain name. For example, mine is www.libertylifecareer.com.  I got mine from www.GoDaddy.com. I only pay $9 per year for mine but you can go even cheaper and get the .infos for about $2 per year. 

- If you choose not to get a domain name you may use the generic domain: www.HomeCareerOverview.com, it goes over the opportunity but refers them back the person who sent them to the webpage via Craigslist, etc., ad. You can also write at the end of your ad: "For more information and to request an interview, please respond to post." And when you receive the email response from Craigslist, you will need to send them an email prompting them to visit your site and request an interview. This method is fine but is very time consuming. Some people find it easier to just get a domain so they don't have to do this step. Completely up to you though:) 

- Keep your ads short and to the point.  

- Do not say "work from home." I always say "telecommute" or "must have home office setup" 

- Do not say AmeriPlan. I usually start off with something like "Our company is looking for....." 

Another little trick I have learned is to save the initial email from Craigslist that confirms that your ad has been posted. Then every Sunday night, go back to it, click on the link in the email and "Renew" your ads.

6.  Free Leads-  Order these today!!  These will give you your first people to talk to!  These are not the highest quality leads but they will give you great practice.

7.  Social Networking Sites - Please visit one of our cross-team site at http://careerandfreedom.homestead.com/90_Day_Challenge.html and look for the blog posts about Facebook Marketing and Cafemom in the sidebar on the right. Best part about social networking is that it's totally free!!  You can use this to generate IBO leads AND member leads:)  If you are already a member of Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Cafemom, etc, you can let your friends know what you are doing and keep them up to date on there.  You can place little advertisement blurbs in your status lines, create your own business page with AmeriPlan information, etc. Mine are: www.facebook.com/freedom2work and www.facebook.com/benefits4less.

8.  Initial E-mail Blast - There is a "Grand Opening" e-mail in the Marketing/Reference Library that you can send to your family and friends letting them know that you have started a business and let them know about what you are doing.  I'm sure they know people or they themselves would like to work from home or need health benefits. Completely optional.  

9. Postcards - Go to www.hbbleads.com and make up and account (free).  Put postcard leads into your shopping cart.  You can get 220 postcard leads for $10.  Your leads will arrive in a .csv file within 24-48 hours.  Go get “blank, pre-postaged postcards” from the post office and write on them by hand...

Sample Verbiage:

Hi Mary,

I would like to speak with you about a FT/PT management position. We offer great pay and benefits.

Your Name,

Your Ph. #

These are some things to get you in action mode.  And, then of course you can add more to it in time like more internet advertising, small newspaper ads, working with groups, there is so much you can do.
